BRIEF ON RCCG, PRAISE TABERNACLE

The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Praise Tabernacle, was inaugurated on Sunday, 6th of June, 1999. It started as a small parish with a congregation of about 150 worshippers led by Pastor Theophilus Martins.

Praise Tabernacle, a fast growing Christian Church now has an average population of 1,400 members, consisting about 1,000 adults, 100 teenagers and 300 children on Sunday services.

As a result of this rapid growth, the parish started two services on Sundays. The schedule of the services is as follows:
• First Service known as the “Early Risers Service” – 7:30am to 9:15am
• Sunday School – 9:15am to 10:00am
• Second Service which is the Main Service – 10:00am to 12:00 noon.

Apart from this, she has planted over 8 local parishes and 6 mission’s fields in Nigeria and Overseas. An Area Parish with about four local parishes under it can be referred to as the heart beat of God due to her commitment to missions and church planting.

As at today, the parish has planted churches in Nigeria and Overseas. Amongst them are: the Mission fields at Abegede and Kajola (Nigeria); RCCG, Praise Tabernacle, Togo, Uganda, Egypt, Lesotho and Texas in the United State of America. It has local Area Parishes namely: Sanctuary of Peace, and Praise Chapel in Nigeria.

The Church has various groups such as the children church instructors, the Welfare Club, Medical Team, Music Ministry, Mission’s Club, Elders, Good Women and Excellent Men fellowships, who organize various outreaches such as free medical care in villages, prison /hospital evangelism and crusades.

The Good Women, in obedience to (Mummy G.O.) Pastor (Mrs) Foluke Adeboye’s instruction, started a regular Sunday fellowship at Surulere General Hospital (Randle), Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria in September 2006. The fellowship is waxing stronger. Many patients have received the divine healing through the simple preaching of the gospel while many souls have been won to Christ
